The Ambassadors, Woking opened in 1992 and fast established itself as one of the foremost venues in the South East. Today it continues to be one of Surrey’s first choice and preferred entertainment venues, comprising of two theatres and a six-screen cinema complex.

We are seeking a proactive and creative individual with previous experience in marketing and press and media liaison, preferably within the arts environment, to join our experienced team in a dynamic venue in the heart of Surrey.

The Marketing & Communications Officer is a pivotal role, providing support across the wider team in the implementation and delivery of innovative and targeted marketing and communications strategies.

The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

  • A team player with good interpersonal skills – the ability to manage producers & agencies in an effective manner.
  • Experience of working in media communications and in managing creative campaigns; generating ideas, driving process and evaluating success.
  • A creative thinker with the ambition to play a key role in driving Venue growth.
  • Strong social media management experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Good organisational and administrative skills.
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects at once.
  • Proactive and flexible attitude, ability to effectively prioritise.
  • Experience of working with other partners and suppliers to tight deadlines.
  • Enthusiasm for/ interest in the theatre and the work of ATG.
  • Absolute attention to detail.
  • Ability to deputise in the absence of either/both of the Marketing Manager and Communications Manager.
